Fire and Ice: Survivor Vanuatu III- Cyclone Cook

Temple maintenance and cleaning, so we are off for two weeks.  We are resting up in Vanuatu so we will be fresh when the Family Five arrive in Fiji.

Arrival in Port Vila, only 2 1/2 hours from Suva

Our vila is like this, just four rows up the hill.

Looking back to main island, Efate, and Pt Vila from our pool

We found our chapel for Sunday, Conference broadcast in
Bislama.

Wheels for Laura and Eric to haul kids.

Snorkeling beach with Fire and Ice being the only people in sight.

Exiting the ocean, Survived again.

This little guy was about 2"or 5 cm long.

 Here!!

It is a flat worm, called a Brown Sea Slug, credit to Iva and Anna for finding it on Google.

Tropical Cyclone Cook:

On Saturday we went to the Vanuatu Museum, it closed at noon.  As we walked home it started to rain, and rain and rain.  With more and more wind.  We were in line for a cyclone, which meant lots of time indoors with no break until Monday am.

There isn't any significant damage, but the trees and gardens took a licking.

The Museum:
A basic museum, with a nice sand drawing demonstration by Edgar.

After the storm...
we had nice weather and were able to swim, kayak, and walking tour Pt Vila some more.  The sunsets were nice from a little dock area near the market in Pt Vila.
