Heat wave in Boise

We have had a protracted spring with cool weather and rain lasting until this week.  Now, however, summer is here with highs in the upper 90's and possibly into the 100's for the next few days.  I will likely break down and turn on the air tonight.  We are lucky our apartment cools off at night, but only when it gets cool outside, which it won't for a few days.

So I work on my cars in the morning and swim in the afternoon.  You know it is hot when Liz and Grandma get in the pool.

Let the heat do its worst, we don't care.

Parma ponds- again

I had a small evergreen to plant and wanted to mow a few paths at Parma today, so I planned to take the field mower on the trailer.  As I was loading up Levi appeared and he decided to come too.  So we made the trip, planted the evergreen and did no other work.  We peddled the paddle boat around the larger pond, we saw cormorants, white pelicans and one goose family.  We also found both of the grass carp I placed there floating dead.  I wonder why they didn't survive?

We had lunch on the beached swim platform and headed out with the skies threatening.  Levi saw a dragon blowing fire in the storm clouds, maybe you can also see it too.  Levi observed that his Dad and I had built the swim platform, and Jesus had done everything else.

The weeds will be there next trip, little boys don't hang around as long.
Peanut butter and jelly, with water and chips.

He was tired of me taking pictures.  See the Dragon?

A nice nap on the way home, balanced on the seat belt.
