Day to day and hunting trips

We are into the school routine now, Levi has no pre-school Monday or Friday, so we go to McDonald's, Harbor Freight, etc when we can.  Morgan gets home at 4:30, so we catch up then.  Summer is a better time for me.

Mahana is aging, she has bad hips but still likes to be where the people are. She comes in the garage most mornings with me.  She lets Spooky the cat lie with her, pretty mellow.

I had a hunting trip for geese and ducks to near Plumas, Manitoba with Jim and Jay Shaver and Colin in September. Nice weather and good shooting.  I am getting blinds ready for a trip to Alberta next week, the mud is to dull the sheen on the new camo fabric, it is brushed off after drying.

Cindy and I drove to Eugene for Ian Salisbury's wedding on Sept 27.  It was nice to see them and some other of our neighborhood and Church friends.  It rained the whole time we were there, so not sorry to be heading home to Eagle from there.

First day of school

The Iverson's had to start back to school while their cousins were here.  Morgan was excited for first grade, and Carrie to start high school (and driver's ed).  Allison was ready to be biggest in middle school as well.

So far school is good, Carrie driving is something to think about.  Like everything it has some good and bad, but who can stop time?  Carrie also has release time seminary.

Eager first grader.

New farm storage and garage

Bob the builder is adding a new steel garage in the back. We need room for ATVs, implements and cars.

The cows like to keep an eye on things. So far
they haven't busted out. Though one did walk into the
pond area, we were able to herd her back.

The barn is now finished, the pictures below show the painted floor.  Sherwin
Williams Tile Clad epoxy, two coats.  Hope it holds up to oil stains.

The hailstorm

We had a powerful hail storm, one that impresses you with the power of the wind, hard rain and hailstones.  We didn't have any damage so we enjoyed the show.

One day I skipped shopping and "watched" two sleeping babies.  I was able to do my work uninterrupted.  Both Iva and Wardie woke in great moods and I took them dirty diapers and all to Cafe Rio,  no one there could tell if it was the babies or the food.

Catching up

I have been slacking on my blogging.  We have been busy with a family visit in late August, a hunting trip, starting to work in the Boise Temple and keeping busy with my car and around the home projects.  I will post some memories to warm my heart on the coming cold winter in my life.

We did add a fun car, a Chrysler TC by Maserati, it fun to drive and it looks ok in pictures or from 20 feet.

Cindy and Meg leading the sporting life.

Maserati Trident in the Chrysler pentagon.  The cars were made in Italy,
ours has a Chrysler engine and auto tranny. Turbo!!

Laura brought Amos, Maggie, Audrey and Ward over the last week in August.  Eric flew in for the weekend too.  Liz's kids were just starting school, the Horne's loved the pool and it was still hot for anything else.  We did have a hailstorm that was very loud and impressive too.  The pond and pool water were whipped into a fury by the hail.

Brothers Amos and Ward in the pool.

pool.

Maggie, the brave, swinging over the pond on a rope swing.

Hang on for dear life!

We had time for a trip to Chuckarama, to remind us of Anna's and Shawn's wedding dinner.  Only the classy for us.

We also had the Ward Rodeo while they were here.  Horses, kids races, chicken catching, and lots of good food.
