A New Year and still waiting to go to Fiji

We have been slogging along through the cloudy cold, only short inversions so far but I won't miss the cold. We are studying Fijian, with TALL the missionary computer system and with a Language Tutor and a Coach on Skype.  Cindy is doing quite well, I am slower, sign of the times I guess.

I have been working on cars a bit, small jobs now that the Blue Thunder MGA is finished.  Today I changed the oil on four cars, two Bs, an MGA and one Magnette.  Not bad unless you have a spill to clean up.  I did.

Departure for training is 15 February, for Fiji we fly on Feb 18, arriving in the morning on Saturday the 20th.  Crossing the equator and the dateline.

We flew to Orlando with the Iversons to meet up with the Sookhoos from Delaware, the Hornes from Duvall, Washington, the Catmulls from Glendale, Arizona and Meg from Lehi, UT.  Quite a gathering of our posterity.  We have had safe and smooth travels and a nice Christmas day. We had a brunch and then a project to make decorated Tic Tac boxes, which were then taken by each family to distribute.  We had some good contacts with people as we picked random people to give them to.

We then returned home to swim and have a nice dinner in the clubhouse of our townhouse complex.  The kids love the pool and hot tub. Kate headed up the meal plans and they were great.  A really nice Christmas away from the cold.

As the week went on the families went to parks or beaches of their choice.  On Tuesday we all went to Animal Kingdom.
