Jubilee June- a success story
Colored fire video
My month long birthday celebration started as a spoof of a certain child's desire to have activities all week for her birthday. As we have done the celebration with a banner and flags out on our street it has been a lot of fun. We talked to a couple of neighbors about what June Jubilee is. I have had to come up with things to do and the rest of the family has helped to plan too. I even have a Beauty Box from Target with hair gel and hair spike stuff.
Next week we go to Arizona for a few days with Anna and the Catmulls. A few days at a fancy resort and water park should be fitting for one having his birthday month. I suppose the baby will be here to draw away some attention, but I can take it.

Jubilee June activities-June 1- June 7 2015
We have been celebrating, in our fashion, my birth month. We have had angel food with strawberries, lots of watermelon and some side trips. Let the pictures speak:
Parma trip, wednesday.
Silver City, a mining ghost town in the Owyhee Mountains.
We drove there on Saturday, from Eagle it was just over 2 hours. The last 13.5 miles were, mostly smooth, gravel road. There is about a 4000 foot increase in elevation so some curves. Lots of ATV and side-by-side off-roaders too. Overall it was fun. The old Hotel and other buildings are well preserved, most are summer get-aways from the heat.
Monday we had home evening at a park with splash fountains and shaved ice with the Iversons. |
Tuesday we had birthday at home with a pile of balloons and angel food cake with strawberries and whipped cream. |
Tuesday also found the deacon's doing their check-out 100 yard swim in our pond, they all made it. |
Logs have floated into the swim area. |
Keeping in touch with Anna, Meg and Kate. |
The main pond at Parma. |

Who's missing a Packard?? Morgan and Levi found one to sell. |
Old mine rail cart as yard art. |
Did I mention that the kids are done with school for the summer? |

Salt Lake City- Wedding breakfast and Meg's new job
We had a missionary friend from the Dominican get married in Draper, so we went down for that and to see Meg on the job. An internship at Deseret Book has been great for her, last weekend she had a movie premier.
We are home just in time....

That is the job I want for our next mission, in the pond. |
