Worth the wait- Couer d'Alenes Railroad Bike Trail

Many times waiting for something to happen leads to a disappointment when it finally arrives.  Summer never disappoints.  We have been to Parma pond, working on MGs and awaiting the arrival of cousins for a summer visit.  Nothing has disappointed except my SU carb rebuilder.  Not bad.

Trail of the Couer d'Alenes:
We went to ride the Trail with the Catmulls, including Dale and Barbara, and Carrie Iverson.  The bikers rode from Plummer to Mullan in four days, an easy trip.  Camping was good and we had one night with a pool in a motel in Kellogg, ID.

Trail begins in Plummer, ID. Almost goes from Washington
Montana. About 72 miles.

Camp in Harrison at the city marina.

Charlie resting up.
We moved each day, after Harrison we stopped in Cataldo at the Kahnderosa campground.  It was a nice setting except close to the Interstate, which was really true of all of the eastern parts of the trail.  The small cities were fun but the valley is more narrow and not right along the water as it was on the first two days to Cataldo.

Arriving in Wallace on Thursday.

Anna and Charlie in Wallace RV campground.

Iva in a space capsule.

Wallace yahoos.

Ready to leave Kellogg for Wallace, early on day 4.
We ate lunch in Riggins at the 7 Devils Saloon both going north and heading back south to Eagle.
